I got tired of riding on the back of my husbands bike and took my MSF class in the spring of 1998.  After my class, my husband had to go out and get a new bike because I took over his H-D LowRider.  I didn't get too many miles in that first year, maybe 3-4,000 is all. I had the opportunity to purchase an H-D Heritage Softail Classic a few years later, I wanted to get into longer trips so I jumped at the Softail.  I loved my Softail and it was good to me for a number of years, we had many good trips together.  In 2004 I purchased my current ride, a H-D Road King Custom.

I live for the long road trips, my husband and I will go on a 2-week trip annually.  We hit a different area of the country each year to take in as much of the beautiful scenery and country-side that we can.  I love traveling thru the back roads and hitting the small towns along the way.  I wish I could be gone longer, but, will have to wait for retirement for that. Beyond our annual trip, I fit in as many "mini-trips" as possible thru the short riding season offered hear in the northern states.

I found the Free Spirit chapter in 2004 and feel so very fortunate to have found such a great group of women.  This group loves riding and having a good time, but, they are also dedicated to rider education and giving back to children's charities. I have become a better rider since joing FSC thru classes and from the expertise of the other ladies.  Thru FSC I found out about the ByStander Assistance Classes which educated me on emergencies procedures in the event of an accident.  Also, FSC ladies were offered 'slow-ride' classes thru one of our support members.  This group takes their riding and having fun seriously, I'm so proud to be a member of this fine group.
